The 15” Discover Premium screen sits alongside a 12” digital instrument cluster, angled towards the driver, giving an ergonomically optimised display that can be customised to the drivers’ preferences, as intuitively as a smartphone or tablet.

Optional Windscreen Projected Head-Up Display¹

The Head-Up Display is projected directly onto the front windscreen, so you can monitor the vehicle’s speed, navigation directions and drivers assist systems without taking your eyes from the road ahead.

When your hands are full, and pulling out your keys might spell disaster, the Easy open/Easy close feature on the Touareg gives you keyless access. When you are close to the car with the key in a pocket or bag, you can open the electric tailgate with a flick of your foot or the push of a button.

Cornering on country lanes and parking on city streets just got a whole lot easier, thanks to the new Touareg’s all-wheel steering. The rear wheels steer along with the front wheels. Not only does this give you a smaller turning circle, it also increases your driving stability, so you can drive more dynamicially with increased agility.

The new Touareg uses air suspension to give you quite literally the highest level of driving comfort: it adapts the height of the car to all terrains, and gives you the option of “COMFORT”, “NORMAL” OR “SPORT” driving profiles so you’re in complete control of your ride. The car can also be raised to give you 258 mm ground clearance, or lowered to make loading and unloading easier.

You may not expect a luxury SUV to deliver such sporty performance, but the new Touareg doesn’t disappoint. Electro-mechanical active roll stabilisation reacts more quickly and at lower speeds than conventional stabilisers, reducing lateral tilt and understeer. So you can drive with precision and agility, even on rough terrain.

The Touareg has a host of uniquely innovative technology features that focus on maximising the safety of the driver and occupants. Features like IQ Light Matrix LED headlights with intelligent light modes and dynamic Light Assist (only available on the Executive model), all minimise the chances of a collision, by providing greater illumination without dazzling other road users, whilst blending seamlessly into the wide front grille to give an unmistakable look.

The Touareg’s wealth of innovative features include Front Assist radar sensor-controlled distance monitoring system, and Adaptive Cruise Control which automatically adjusts your speed to that of the vehicle ahead, ensuring you keep a specified distance. The system will warn you if you’re approaching too fast and, in an emergency situation, generate enough braking force to reduce the severity of the impact or prevent a collision altogether.
